New World Record Mobile Phone Drop – Handset Holds Out!

November 2nd, 2011 admin No comments

There’s a lot of us out there that are a little clumsy and have probably dropped a phone or two in our time. Well, now you need not worry about whether you’ve broken your phone or not, well at least you don’t if you’ve got one of the newest devices from phone producers, Sonimtech.

Sonimtech have created, and made the first mobile phone handset that you can quite comfortably drop from 25 metres high, or the equivalent to ten storeys, and it’ll still be totally functioning when it hits the bottom! Now that’s some phone!

This handset is probably the right handset for those of you who’re rather clumsy or who find themselves working on a building site on a daily basis, and there’s also a video that was taken while they dropped the phone, just in case any of you out there were a little sceptical.

Sony PlayStation beats Apple to the Top

October 20th, 2011 admin No comments

With all the hype surrounding Apple this week, you may have been right in thinking that any of the videos they put up onto their YouTube channel would have had millions and millions of views. That’s because they did, but they’ve not quite reached the top of this week’s viral video chart. They did however manage to reach second place. First place, at the minute, belongs to Sony with their viral video for the PlayStation 3 Long Live Play campaign.

The video from Sony got just over 8,000,000 views this week on the internet whereas the video from Apple – “Introducing iPhone 4S” – managed nearly 7,000,000 views. This however was only the first week that the video had been up on the web, so it’s not really bad going when you think about it.

The PlayStation Video has been up on the internet for a lot longer than the Apple video and between them they both have around 14,000,000 views, which is a lot of views!

Just like it has helped Apple, a viral video may help you and your business a lot. Perhaps you’ve just launched a new product that you think loads of people will like, well if you have then you could look at getting a viral video made about it so that you can try and promote it in the best way possible.

Classic Ingredients for a good Viral Video!

October 7th, 2011 admin No comments

There are many things needed to make a good viral video. Or maybe you don’t want to make one; maybe you just want to see what is needed for a video to be classed as a “good viral video”?

There are many things that can be recorded, or that you may just have had a camcorder at hand for and you just happen to catch something on video that you just know is going to get laughs. One that springs to mind is the video that was uploaded to YouTube about 2 years ago and has now got well over 54 million views.

There are many videos like this that are on YouTube. Cute, adorable videos of things like babies and animals tend to be big hits on YouTube and they usually get a vast amount of views. Also, there are things such as stupid videos, funny videos, videos of people doing things that make you sit back and think to yourself “whoa, that was cool!” All of these things are things that you know are guaranteed to get views on YouTube and other sites such as Metacafe.

There’s a bit of a trend with the videos that have been viewed by millions and millions of people on YouTube, but there’s one video that does baffle me to a certain extent and that’s the Nyan Cat. How millions of people can find it interesting, cool or even funny to watch a little sparkly cat fly through the air endlessly is beyond me, but then again there are some strange people around that do watch anything and everything on the web.

So to summarise, really if you’re not looking at manufacturing a video to become viral then it needs to be something that you’ve filmed yourself, not staged it. Or perhaps you are looking at producing your own video then you need to make it look as genuine as possible and not like it was produced by yourself or a company. Follow these simple steps and you’ve got yourself a recipe for a classic viral video!

NEW Old Spice Man Is not a Patch on The Previous Guy

September 21st, 2011 admin No comments

During the last few months there appears to have been a little bit of a new found passion for the Old Spice Guy that became loved with his adverts for the men’s grooming product ads on both YouTube and also on the television.

People would post things up on Twitter as well as on Facebook regarding the ads when they came on TV and rightly so, they were really good, very funny adverts. However these ads are set to be no more. At some time this week there were videos which were launched on YouTube advertising the Old Spice product, however everybody’s favourite Old Spice chap appears to have disappeared off of the face of the planet and he has been replaced by some odd, Italian guy known as Fabio.

He’s been in things such as Keith Lemon’s World Tour and he has also had cameo roles in films such as Zoolander and Dude, Where’s My Car. Therefore I think it’s safe to say he certainly is no better than the last Old Spice guy, Isaiah Mustafa

At the minute however there’s not been any official word from Old Spice as to whether they’ve replaced Isaiah with Fabio or if Fabio is, as it would seem just advertising a new product that they are currently selling. Either way we don’t want to see THE Old Spice guy get the boot from the ads as almost all of his videos on YouTube have got at least 1,000,000 views which speaks volumes about precisely how much people love his work.

Home Videos might go Viral too…

September 14th, 2011 admin No comments

There are many folks who record themselves doing silly things, or maybe they’re wanting to have a rant at or about somebody or something or there are many which are simply awesome. Anyway there’s a multitude of videos out there which have done really well for themselves and they have shot the individual that uploaded them, or starred in them, to fame.

You might be one of these people if you choose to make your own home video. Someone who did this is a young boy in America known on his YouTube profile as CopperCab. For anyone who don’t know and also haven’t viewed his entertaining video, he’s the guy who uploaded the “GINGERS DO HAVE SOULS” video clip.

In this video he has a rant about how individuals at his school ridicule him for being ginger and stating that he’s got simply no soul, to which he obviously disagrees. It was submitted in 2010 and in almost a year it’s accumulated over 21million views.

Animal videos can be quite a big hit at times!

September 14th, 2011 admin No comments

We all love, and love animals and at times they certainly do a few rather silly things that make us think “if only I had gotten that on video”… Well a number of people around do catch their pets doing some ridiculous things and one of the newer video clips on YouTube that’s currently trending is a video clip of somebody’s pet cat trapping another moggie in a card board box and sitting on top of it and refusing to budge!

Well we say refusing to move but he soon gets bored and having seen the captured cat pushing on the top of the box. He sooner or later gets out and then shakes his head and then walks away himself, possibly wondering what had just happened and also thinking to himself “I won’t be going near one of those for some time!” and who could blame him really?

A viral video could be a great way of promoting a product or even a service that you or even your company offer and if perhaps you’re struggling for company, in the event you come up with a good idea for a video to advertise your particular service or product then you could be quids in! There are many different kinds of promotional video about that may help you in this instance, such as a software video!

In either case there are many different things out there that can help you and your business!

Viral Videos are great to grow businesses

September 5th, 2011 admin No comments

There are some fantastic viral videos out there that have done wonders for the people who have featured in them. For example Justin Bieber, possibly one of the biggest young stars in the world right now, got to where he is now thanks to his YouTube video days.

The world of social media can do you wonders at times not only YouTube, but also Twitter or Facebook. If you have a video that you think is something that would benefit the wider world, or if you’re targeting a certain part of the market then you should look at different ways in which you can promote it.

You may have quite a popular Twitter account for example. If you do and you had say 1,000 followers then you could Tweet about the video and post a link to it. Who knows you may find that someone really likes it and you may start to see an increase in business. Or you could do the same with the video on Facebook, and may start to see the same results.

Then there’s obviously YouTube. The home of online videos, YouTube currently has a n Alexa ranking of 3. Which is very high, the lower the number the better it is for the website. Also, YouTube had approximately 30% of all web traffic in the last 3 months. That’s one hell of a lot of traffic for one website!

If you don’t have a viral video or you are looking at getting one made for your website then you should have a look around and see what different viral video production companies you can find. After all you may stumble across a company who can offer you a fantastic service at a wonderful price.

There are many different companies out there with lots of experience but you won’t want to go to a business who have got hardly any experience when it comes to creating the viral video that you are after, the one that if you put it up on YouTube or on Twitter will get you some business, or who knows it may even get you more than business, it may bring a new found fame to you.

After all, Justin Bieber did it. So why can’t you?

Viral Videos, or Viral Gaming…?

March 30th, 2011 admin No comments

Let’s bounce back thirty odd years or so and we will see that the very first video gaming console that was unveiled back in 1972 was a Magnavox Odyssey. In the event that you were to stumble across one of these, what you would more than likely call a brick now you wouldn’t have thought that it’s a games console, to be honest you would most likely have probably thought it was more than likely just an old radio. Or perhaps glanced at it and thought to yourself “What the hell is this hunk of junk doing inside my house?” and just binned it, only to have your dad whinging a few weeks later about his Magnavox going missing.

Now put yourself in his position, twenty years down the line when you’ve grown up out of the whole “gaming” scene and you’ve got one or two your own young kids but you’ve saved your PS3 or Xbox 360 as a bit of a keepsake, that can help remind you of when you were younger and you were bunking off college as well as missing lectures at Uni to stay at home and play on Call of Duty: Black Ops online or play a few games online on FIFA. Just imagine strolling into the garage where you had kept it just to discover it’s gone missing and upon investigation you discover that it had been binned. You’d be very miffed about it.

Anyhow, aside from your future life lets get back to the old school games consoles that were about in the 70’s, 80’s and most notably for people of my age, the consoles which were around during the 90’s. I say the 90’s for the reason that it’s what I can relate to with the likes of the Sega Mega Drive, Nintendo 64 plus the original Playstation. The original Playstation is one I remember really well, opening that on Christmas morning I was over the moon, and it’s gone from strength to strength following that when it comes to me and Playstations. The Microsoft Xbox came out in early 2002 and everyone was over the moon about it, but to be honest it was no Playstation.

The gaming world was originally known for brands like Atari, and it went from that to the Sega Mega Drive and then it’s the likes of the Xbox 360 and the Playstation 3 that happen to be renowned in the world of gaming. Imagine the viral videos that got unveiled for the Sega Mega Drive compared to the one that got released for the Playstation 3, undoubtedly there’d be a massive difference in the quality. Nowadays there’ll be a large amount of different video production companies so if you need to make a viral video about something then you’ll definitely have a vast choice of different people to ring up about viral video campaigns.

Now there’s a “new breed” of games console being produced. Being in 2011 you’d suppose that we were maybe beginning to get past the whole HD thing and you wouldn’t be far wrong with that assumption. First it was Blu Ray gaming with the PS3 and now it’s glasses-less 3D gaming with the new Nintendo 3DS. What next, hologram gaming?

Viral Videos can help you and your company massively…

March 11th, 2011 admin No comments

For those of you who don’t know what a Viral Video is then I’ll explain it for you. A viral video is basically a video that becomes popular through some form of internet sharing or through emails or people can film things that become viral just for the sheer comedy value of the video. There are some videos that have become viral that were just filmed out of sheer randomness. For example the video on YouTube called “The Battle at Kruger” which someone captured on film in the African outback at the Kruger national park, has now had millions of views on YouTube and has become one of the most popular online videos of all time; it even has a dedicated website!

There has recently been an attempt at what would have been a massive viral video. However, it went massively wrong. It was supposed to be a viral advertisement for Bradley Cooper’s new film “Limitless” but it didn’t have the desired effect. The short clip shows a man with a device that he claims he created sticking out of an iPhone that can hijack any video signal and when you put the receiving end near a video screen it will show what you have recorded on the screen

The whole point to the video was to advertise “Limitless”. The advertisement for the film was being shown in Times Square in New York when these guys “hijacked” the screen and showed their video clip and how it worked. In an email that was sent around to some “important” people, or just people who happen to have signed up to the right website’s email newsletter. There was an email sent around that was explaining how the little more or less cameo appearance for the advert of “Limitless” at the end of the video was supposed to be an advert for the film. If that was supposed to be their attempt at making a viral video that would help promote the film then they were massively mistaken. It didn’t work, at all.

The idea of a viral video is to be catchy, something that will help your business or maybe you just want to get famous on the internet like the numa numa kid, or the two little brothers who are internet sensations with the “Charlie bit my finger” video which has got over 290,000,000 views on YouTube. I think you can safely say that this is a good example of a viral video. If you haven’t yet seen it then you can see it here – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_OBlgSz8sSM&feature=related. Of course there are plenty of other viral videos that you can watch on YouTube as well as this one.

If you quite like the sound of all of this and think that it will be of great benefit to your then you can have a look into getting some viral marketing sorted for your business or maybe you fancy looking into some viral video campaigns that will help your business to no end. If you are interested in some of this stuff then why not get in touch with viralvideos.co.uk and see what they can do for you.

Viral Videos can be very profitable for your business

February 14th, 2011 admin No comments

Almost everywhere we look, we see some form of advertisement or promotion. Well you and your business could soon be cashing in on this lucrative market and what better way to do that than with a viral video. If you get in touch with a Viral Video production company then you could very well be onto a winner.

Depending on what you and your business do, depends on what you may want to make your viral video about. There are various different things that you can make your viral video about for example, we all know who Tippex are; well they made a viral video ad for their product, and to be honest it was a huge hit. It started out with a bear attacking a hunter’s tent, and he didn’t want to shoot the bear so he stops and picks up a rather large Tippex mouse and in the title where it says “A Hunter Shoots a Bear” he Tippex’s out the ‘shoots’ and you can type in any word you want and then if you hit enter a video plays with a scene of what you typed in, for example if you type in ‘chills with’ a scene plays where the hunter fellow is just stood there with the bear doing nothing much, just “hangin’ out”. If you like the sound of this video then you can see it here and see for yourself what you can do: http://www.youtube.com/user/tippexperience

If you would like to try your hand at creating a viral video like this Tippex one then you can get in touch with Viral Videos and see what they can do for you and how they can help your business.
